19th January 2023 Hiking - Walking: Around Felixstowe Wind Direction: Wind Stength: Surf / Sea State: Air Temperature: Sea Temperature: Weather: Frosty, sunny and cold Max Speed: Distance Covered: Thursday 19th January – walks ***** Around Felixstowe – frosty, sunny and cold. Another very cold frosty state to the day decided to give the sunrise a miss today as did it yesterday so stayed in bed with the electric blanket on :) Then when we learned that Dan and Jay were coming round late morning with the lovely Maeva Mag and I decided to get up early and go for a walk along the prom before breakfast. Leaving home just before nine the ground was still thick with frost and down on the prom it was still very white with light winds and a deep blue sky it was just perfect, nice and quiet too:) We reached Jacobs Ladder and decided to carry on along the beach towards The Dip before taking the new steps up the cliff and back across the green returning down Jacobs Ladder to the prom. Then back through the Spa Gardens and home for porridge and a cuppa before our company arrived:) We then had another lovely afternoon with family, Maeva the new Granddaughter is an absolute star just made for cuddling:) We went on a walk to the cliff top to see the sea and back through the town for a bit of shopping meeting several friends on the way!
